In September 2006, Lock was arrested by Lothian and Borders Police for an alleged sexual assault of a 20 year old student at Russell Brand's flat on the 28th of August, during the Edinburgh Festival. Lock denies all charges, stating that the woman gave her consent and that they "had a very nice night together". The case is currently being reviewed by the procurator fiscal, the Scottish public prosecutor.

Bell told Sky News on Friday: "I've had no contact from the police, the police haven't questioned my daughter, and I want people to be prosecuted for what's been done, because it's like house rape; my house has been torn apart."
