Raich Carter Cup
From ARFOPEDIA
The Raich Carter Cup is an infrequently but fiercely contested cup competition. Despite only being in existence since 2002, it is now second in prestige only to the FA Cup. Sunderland won the 2006/2007 final 3-0 on aggregate, the first time the tournament came home to Wearside.
Some critics feel the trophy has lost its prestige and romance since moving to a 2 legged format, and as such is not as important as it once was. And well, frankly, they are right
