Peter Reid is a former manager of Sunderland A.F.C.. He led the club to two promotions and one relegation in his time in charge, and two seventh-placed Premiership finishes. His fans are innumerable, although some bloke from Quarrington Hill apparently is not a fan. He is perhaps best known for swearing repeatedly on BBC1 documentary Premier Passions and for being the worst manager in Coventry City's history. Well respected part time cricket commentator for Sky.

[edit] Wise quotes
- Reid fans may like to use the following to make up their own Reid post-match press conference:
- There aren't any quality players available
- I thought we matched them in the second half (after going 3-0 down)
- I won't sign anybody that's not better than what we've got
- He's the most naturally talented player at the club (said about a player Reid will persistently fail to select)
- I've got money to spend
- It was like Billy Smart's Circus out there
- I won't pay over the odds for anyone.
- He's got a superb touch for a big man
- Nobody is bigger than the club
- I'll do it my way
- The first rule of management - never resign
- We'll work on it in training
- We didn't get our passing going today
