Football Italia
From ARFOPEDIA
Cult football show shown on Channel 4 during the 90s, and hosted by James Richardson. There were two shows every week, a Saturday morning football show called Gazzetta and a live match on Sunday afternoons. A third show, Mezzanotte, was later introduced for the obsessives, consisting of an entire re-run of one of the weekend's games, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The Saturday morning show was particulary arrogant, as it mainly consisted of Richardson sitting at cafe, with a fucking massive ice cream sundae, sipping down coffee while mocking the ridiculous transfer rumours the sports papers contained, while holding up a copy of the Gazetto della Sport as if anyone in Britain could actually understand the headline anyway.
Was at its peak during the Gazza years, featuring several comedy caper laced interviews and features.
