[edit] Another version of events
The DDC were a group of like minded individuals who didn't understand that the OTF couldn't be run in the same way as their little piece of internet heaven. They bullied and harassed the weak minded in the OTF community and constantly challenged any authority that attempted to pull them into line – they even deleted poor Ter from DD.
Whilst claiming lofty pretensions of being above board politics they spent inordinate amounts of time pouring vitriol on anyone they perceived as being in their way. Whilst claiming the exact opposite they took things incredibly seriously.
The BCC was a loose amalgamation of senior OTF figures and Keyser who were bought together to help protect the OTF in its days of terror. By using light hearted banter, 1st names and their tales of the trials and tribulations of mid to late 20s men they bought relative stability to the board.
By challenging the anarchic nature of the DCC it was inevitable that there would only be one winner.
It soon turned out that the DCC was infact, at it's core, a very small number of users surrounded by various sycophants and small minded bullies with neither the intelligence or humour to defeat the volume of sensible opinions and middle of the road joshing the BCC was able to bring to the OTF.
We won, they p*ssed off - leaving Wicom behind for some bizarre reason.

The person who wrote the above chain of events was so against the members of the DDC he once turned up on their messageboard pleading with them to stop causing so much trouble as OTF would be a worse place if they all got banned

The effect the DDC have had on OTF is apparant even to this day, with OTF now ruined by the fact everybody poorly uses all the DD idioms ALL the time, not realising at all where they came from and ignorantly and amusingly hating on DD at the same time, e.g "wish DD would rot tbh xwise"
